Inspired by the sleek, minimalistic, wabi-sabi interior of Scandinavian and Japanese designs, this home is a visual storyboard that represents the conscious layering of earthy colors and natural materials without forgoing functionality.

Project hygge Uchi is simplicity at its core but homely at its edges–a style that is both functional, minimal and welcoming. The
idea of a pared-down palette with natural materials, organic curves, and a series of elegant arches sets the mood for a
timeless home that is serene and spacious.

Organic and natural elements were used throughout the home. Wood engineered flooring gives an honest interpretation of
Japandi from top to bottom coupled with textured limestone paint on the walls, the home feels sensitive and intimate. Cold elements such as the bomb shelter are hidden from sight with Japandi-inspired lacquered Ashwood strips which spill into the dining space to create a feature wall forming a sense of togetherness between 2 areas.

To create a more comfortable living flow through the house, we designed a modern custom settee, a perfect companion for dining and chilling by tucking it in at one corner to give sufficient walking clearance between the dining table and kitchen
entrance, and at the same easing maintenance between naked spaces. Additionally, the lowering and curving of ceilings were a key element in spatial play of the space. Different celling heights confine, mark out and envelop different living areas; this makes the space defining intimate and cozy.

Project hygge Uchi is envisioned to blend calmness and functionality with the smart use of space. It brings forth a moment of
peace in the middle of a bustling city, embracing a minimalistic and inviting space, with the focus on exquisite materials and
attention to concept Blending in, Standing out.
