Facing a client who wants a Hotel-at-Home feel; a design to emulate the stylish laidback luxe aesthetic of hotel interior was conceived.
Neutrals like beige and gray which invoke a sense of tranquility and elegance were used as the main color palette. For Most part of the house, downlights gently wash the walls, curtain, and furniture with warm, functional brightness to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. To add a touch of warmth and intimacy, 2 dimmable circle embedded bedside sconce with warm light set the ambience for a restful night.
Limited by dimensions due to a tiny bedroom and an elongated living room, these 2 spaces were combined into one larger
open space and recreated for more than one purpose and usage. Effectively and stylishly, ceilings of the living room were brought down with false ceiling to delineate areas to chill, work and eat. Custom- made walnut flute wall panels frame the
walls of the bedroom and living area creating the illusion of a home with grandeur further enhancing our design theme.
Using furnishing as focal point, a large LED TV and a white curved soft suede sofa were selected to give an inviting stylish chic
lounge look, at the same time diverting attention from the space's diminutive size.
For consistency, grey laminated lower cabinets ground the space while the sintered stone backsplash framed by walnut paneling add a touch of elegance to the kitchen. Unbroken lines and reflection using same Light reflective colored tiles for the entire wall and dry area brighten up the tiny bathroom, concealing its compactness to achieve a clean lifted mood.
Through the clever use of colors and lightings, coupled with the creative use of accent furniture and space, our hotel-at-home theme came to live.
